What does the factory torque converter in an 86 stall at?

85-86 had the 2000 stall, then it dropped to around (I think) 1600 after that. The H-body guys were using those until they got scarce, then switched to the S10 converter which was rated at 2025 rpm...

2026rpm for 85-86, which doesnt need to be changed unless you've done away with TPI.

yeah tpi is long gone, bought the car with out an engine, ideally I need a 2800 to 3200 to go best with my cam but the 2k should be somewhat decent temporarily. Thanks for the reply!
