Default 1992 Water pump...is this it?

Ok, picked this up on ebay, and the seller assured me it was for a 92 LT1 (which is what I have).

Water pump that is on my car does not have that long pipe (bottom left in picture) for a heater core hose, but is instead plugged and the heater core hose runs to a t-fitting on the upper radiator hose. Can I remove that t-fitting and run the heater pipe to the water pump, or is there another gotcha here?

That looks similar, but not the same.

It's upside down, BTW, and appears to be missing the hose inlet at the top. It looks like the temp sensor location is differnt.

I don't know that this one won't work, but it's not a stock replacement.

I think this is the Impala LT1 water pump. I would get the correct one for the Vette, they are not that hard to find.

But they are expensive.

No, just some random seller that mis-spelled Corvette (which is why I figured I got it so cheap, as in 30 bucks cheap).

here's a pic of a AC-Delco stock '92 WP......looks a bit different..The T-housing on the one you have looks angled and may interfear with your inake bellows...??? If I were you, I'd get my money back, and not try to re-trofit an incorrect WP......

You can get a new one for $158 from "thepartsladi" . They are excellent, I've used them extensively for my '93.....

Yeah, that is what I am thinking. Plan wasn't to retrofit, as I had no idea what it looked like prior to buying and it was listed as a 92 LT1 Corvette WP. Seller said to send it back, so no worries.

hm... I don't think it's gonna be that much of a problem.

The extra hoses means you get to loose the stupid t in the middle of the upper hose.

Just go with an electric water pump and reuse your old housing.
