LT1 Plug Gap?

Depends on what you use your car for...I drag race mine 90% of the time so I run very inexpensive Autolite plugs and gap them at .030...great for WOT applications...

I believe the stock setting is .035 but not sure. I read somewhere the larger the gap the bigger spark causing more combustion. I haven't not test that theory yet. Just changing the plugs on my 89 is such a task I'd just go with the stock settting.

Stock gap is 0.055. Most people on here run the NGK TR55 or equivilant.
Some run the TR5 (gapped at 0.035) or the TR6 (colder plug) gapped at 0.035 if they have a high compression motor or run NO2.
Don't bother with the iridium and platinum and split fire and +4 and all that garbage unless you like to throw money away for no reason.

The NGK TR55 is a double platinum plug. I think most people here like them because they last longer than conventional copper core plugs.
