Default tune up performance questions

Hey everyone,
Im about to add a new MSD system and tought it would be a good time to ask some qeustions to the vette experts for maybe gaining a few more ponys. I have a 90 speed density and was wondering any advise on timing. Is there any advantage to advancing or retarding the timing on these cars past factory or will the ECM just correct it and end up losing power. Also a few years ago I changer injectors to the Bosh 111 24lb injectors, the car has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it. Once again any advantages to uping the fuel pressure? Thanks for all comments!

The ECM will compensate for changes in fuel pressure, so zero net gain there.

The car may 'like" more timing, but you need to "Feed it what it wants". In otherwords, try different timing, then test (objectively). I agree w/cuisinartvette that the MSD won't do squat for power.

OK thanks guys, Im keeping the HEI system but replacing the plug wires and replacement coil for a retune, but I am adding the 6AL because I have heard goodthings about it. So no gains for bumping fuel up, and no body has a sweet spot for the timing. As asways thanks for the responses.
