On a 93 Vette, how do I know if knock (or false knock sensing) is slowing me>
People have brought up some good points..
I have a 93 Vette 6speed. How would I know if I am getting knock , (or retarded timing due to false knock sensing) that would be slowing me down?
I am under the understanding that I can't put in an LT4 knock sensor on my car, that it will only work for later model Vettes.
I do have a custom Ed Wright chip, LT4 hot cam kit installed, ported heads, and a K&N air filter, new opti and fuel filter
Is there an easy way to test this?

The knock sensor sends info to the ESC,thats the little flat square box you see on the side of the underhood compartment. You can disconnect it & see if it runs better.I think thats the part you want from an Lt4.
Disconnecting the sensor will make it always run retarted but not the ESC.
