Default Pics of my new rims/rubber. What do you think?

I finally got my rims in today. Here are a few pictures for you guys. I am posting them to see what you guys think, and also for the guys who are thinking of doing this modification. These are not knockoff rims incase anyone is wondering. They are the "realdeal".

Food for thought. I got my weight scale out today and brought it into the garage to weigh these suckers.

1) Stock 275/40/17 on the stock 17x9.5 inch rim= 53 LBS.
2) Z06 front rim which is 17x9.5, Tire size 275/40/17=43 LBS.
3) Z06 back rim whick is 18x10.5, Tire size 315/30/18=49 LBS.

As you can see these rims are really light especially for a rim that is 18x10.5. inches wide.

In regards to the tires, I have not had time to take them for a rip yet to see just how sticky they are, and if I can hear the road noise with them etc......

IMO. I like the look of the rims. I wanted a rim that DID NOT stick out. I was thinking of the ZR-1 rims, but everyone has them, and they stick out. I think the rims look somewhat unique. I have not seen a C4 in my area with these rims yet. They are on the boarder line in regards to sticking out, but they arent obvious like the ZR-1 rims. In saying that the ZR-1 rims do look a tad wider considering they are a 17x11 rim, and not a 18x10.5 inch rim.

Here are the pics. I know some of you wont like them, and some of you will. Enjoy folks!! Sorry the car isnt cleaner.

The wheels look great. What year are the wheels from and did you have to use a spacer?

Thanks man. I love the rims as well. They are off a 01-04 Z06. No spacer's needed for 88-96 car's. I dont realize how heavy the stock rims are until you mount these Z06 rims on the car.

Looks good and the best bit is you don't have to buy run flats!Drop it a bit and it would look better. In case you could be confusing other forum members about wheels sticking out I've posted a couple of my 11" rears with 315's.They are the common ZR1 rip offs but they don't stick out. What's with the Texas plate on a Canadian car,Eh!

Thanks guys! I will look into lowering the car about an inch.

Staugur: Your car is an 1987. Thats why they dont stick out. Mine is an 1988 model. Its different.

Thanks man. The exhaust system is the 3" B&B system. Full stainless, and true duals!

Ricky, the car looks dam sweet Brotha! Now go to Brafasco and spend $8.00 and get some 10' lowering bolts for that baby and drop it an inch.

I think the B&B looks like crap on your car Rick and you should sell it to me for the ZR

It looks like there is thick metal screen in your exhaust that blocks half of it?

And what's with the Texas tags?

The wheels look good Rick. The problem is that now I want some, too.
