Found several if anyone is interested. Decided on one in Plano, took about 2 hours and cost $82. Beats others wanting $150-289. Let me know if anyone needs details.

I have found rebuild houses through the marine shops. Everybody gets their marine starters rebuilt, and the boat guys know the good shops. Other good sources for reference are county truck yards or anybody with a decent sized fleet. Personally I really like the small dingy shops with one or two guys doing all the work, as long as they have been around for years and years.
Sounds like you found a shop that will work with you. Good Luck.

Re: Who rebuilds AC Delco Starters in Dallas area???? (PeteL)
I started with the yelow pages and found about 20-30 that rebuild altanators and starters in tha Dallas area. I found 3 within 5 milesfrom where I live. One was open Christmas eve and did mine in about 2 hours for $82.50 with a 3 year warranty. The name is Midwest Electrical Inc, 508 Bishop Ave, Richardson, Tx 75081 Phone 972-680-8322 ask for Fritz. Put in back on tonight, and it worked perfectly.
Just a reminder to all... If you try to start your car, and you get a click or no action, then try again and it starts right up, it's just a matter of time until your starter goes out. This is an early warning sympton. Mine got to where the selinoid stuck in the OUT position, and would have standed me if I had not been in my own garage.
I got rebuilt prices from Autozone, etc. in the $200 range and new from GM (I don't think theyn are REALLY new, but rebuilt with all new insides by Delco and the case is not new) for $289. It is easy to find rebuilders in your area (Look under alternator repairs too) and it's about a 1 hr job to remove and install on my '95. Saved $300 - 400 by doing it all my self including having it rebuilt ($82.50)
