Default Fan always on

Need help with a new issue. Haven't done any work to the car recently, but I just noticed the cooling fan turns on automatically when the ignition is on, and the a/c is off. I have automatic climate control and the fan stays on even after setting the climate control to "econ." Any ideas on where to start???

Where to start? A shop manual and the wiring diagram.

Unplug the fan relay and see what happens. I've had one stay stuck in the on position on mine. Caused the fan to run whenever key was on.

Bad relay, short to ground in green trigger wire going to relay, connector on AC pressure switch has fallen off or maybe in limp home mode.

Some additional information: ignition on- car not running- the fan is off. With car started - fan on in econ mode. Disconnected the relay- fan off. New relay - fan still on.

Open the connector in the A/C pressure line, jumper the two contacts, start the engine---fan should not be off. If so replace the sensor

Open the connector to the coolant temp sensor in the base below the LH side of the TB and start the engine...the fan should not be off. If so replace the sensor.

BTW, have you pulled trouble codes and checked in Field Service mode to see if the ECM is going closed loop??

Is the compressor running ?? Does the fan turn off if you set it to heat (90*)??
