power steering pulley grooves?

Default power steering pulley grooves?

I am doing some work one my car and noticed my power steering pulley is smooth on the belt contact area it does not have the ridge like the others. Is this correct or is the pulley worn. car is a 96

Smooth on my '88:



The belt won't be wearing off grooves.

my 92 LT1 is ribbed matter of fact all my pulleys are ribbed and my cerp belt is ribbed on both sides, sucks because my belt cost $60.00 to replace.

there was a "secret" factory recall (TSB) to change those to a "grooved one side only" system, only done for customers that complained of the noise the "double side" system made...doubtful that it's still an open/free recall but ask your stealership
