LT1 - Torsional Damper Hub Phasing
I have a 1994 Vette LT1 Motor. The torsional damper and hub were removed from the end of the crankshaft. The crankshaft is keyed, but the damper hub is not. Since the hub is not keyed, can someone tell me the correct phasing for the hub. Does it align with #1 TDC?

I don't see a shadow on the inside of the hub where it's aligned with the keyway. Does the small triangle on the damper also indicate TDC? The hub bolts are such that it will only bolt to the up to the damper one way.

Yes, the triangle indicates TDC. Since these engines were neutral balanced through the dampner. It is not critical that the triangle has the be perfectly aligned at TDC. Either mine had slipped or was off about 10* from the factory.

Once the dampner is installed back on the car it is difficult to see the triangle. You may want to mark the outside of the dampner with a paint pen at TDC #1/6, this will help for future reference.
