Default Need a starter 96 LT1

My starter is about gone and was looking the best place to buy one. Will any of the mini starters work that they sell at Summit or Jegs?

I'm also curious as to what others are using. Next time I'd like to replace my stock starter with something lighter. The stock one weighs a ton.

Here's the link to the repair I did on mine.

Nice write up I think rebuilding might be the way to go. I checked Jegs and I would like to get a new one but don't feel like messing with shims. I think I will call them tomorrow and find out what would really fit. I will rebuild my old one just in case.

Anything to suit a 153 tooth flywheel (straight bolt pattern ) SBC will fit .Terminals may be in different locations
Have a look at ebay # 120411309796 ,prob cheaper than rebuild. The 88-91 is a different style to the later ones but functions the same.
