Default x-pipe or h-pipe...

I just installed the headers on my 93 vette and I was just wondering what do you guys replace the resonator with an x-pipe or h-pipe. I heard that the x-pipe works well because of how it balances out the exhaust and thus increases hp. But I haven't heard much about the h-pipe.

Doenst matter powerwise. X will give it a bit more rasp in the ex. note if thats what youre after. Some like it, some dont.

I have never felt a difference between straights, X or H. If there is any its on paper somewhere but SOTP wouldnt waste $ looking for it. opinions may vary.

I've heard they are pretty similar, the h-pipe does a better job with noise, the x-pipe as cuisinart said is a bit more raspier and supposedly better for upper rpm power.

I've heard that H-pipes perform better, as the crossover equilizes pressure but the pipe stays straight, hence less restriction than an X-pipe. It's really a moot point though; I bet the difference is pretty minimal.

i thought x-pipes were better because there would be no turbulence in the exhaust system because of the H configuration. the X configuration would provide smoother exhaust flow...

So why not run straight pipes then?

x-pipes and h-pipes are there to balance out the exhaust pulses and give you better performance (from what i know). don't they also give you a better exhaust note?
