Thoughts on these RR's
I know there are always hot debates on the type of parts used. For context these are being considered for a stock 1989 L98, completely stock valve train at 78K miles. Car isn't raced as I have a Z06 for those events.

Here is what I can see:
Pro's:
Steal construction, not aluminum, should be stronger
Full roller
Reasonable price, about $80 cheaper than other "known" brands
Con's:
Not a "known" brand
I could not even replace stock units, but those too could fail one day.
I might take the 1.6 route if they are available. OK, if anyone has these that would be great input, but all input is valuable.

I would pay the extra $80 for the known brand rockers. If these blow, even with the lifetime warranty, they will replace the broken rocker, not your engine. !.6 would be a good addition since they don't cost any more.

I don't think those will clear the "center bolt" valve covers......if staying with the stock center bolt covers you'll want to go with "narrow bodied" rockers that will clear.
I know nothing about the set you have in the link but often times you get what you pay for........ you might want to go with a name brand rocker that is "known" but costs a little more on this one.

engle1147 you may be right on about the narrow configuration, I was going to have to check on that. If I go to Jegs or Summit at least I can talk with a rep about what I'm doing and get a recommendation there and have reasonable assurance that they will work.
I am planning to keep my VC's, even though I don't know how great the refinishing will work out, that is my current project.

Only $65 more, well known name, narrow body so they'll fit your centerblot V/C and lightweight aluminum.

Ultraviolet, thanks for the offer but I think if I go to the trouble to change rockers and do the adjusting, I'd rather go to the 1.6 for the little bump in HP. Also I need self-align, I know the guide plates are included but that is a bit more work and would probably be best with new rods as well.
