Bye bye modded C4!!
As posted in Engine Mods...
I've decided to get rid of the modded '85. After over 10 years and 48k invested, I'm basically through with the car. If you guys know anyone who wants a smokin' deal on a great car... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=234201
I'm picking up my new C5 tomorrow.

Re: Bye bye modded C4!! (Mojo)
Congrats, enjoy your new C5. I was this close to doing the same thing with my '86 about 6 months ago. I had secured an '01 Z06 that I could get GMS pricing on, but was tripped up by the financing ultimately. Still, I couldn't deal with my '86 as my driver anymore so I ended up getting my '02 Z28 with GMS and the "Keep America Rolling" financing. The LS1 is a work of art, and the C5 as a whole is a great value. While it lacks the raw edginess of the C4, it is still a rewarding car to drive at insane speeds. :D

After a few days in the new C5, I'm sure you will forget about your C4...well almost. ;)

Good luck. I could never give up my C4. It's my first Vette and I am going to keep it. I may have some others sitting beside it one day, but I will always have my original baby.

Re: Bye bye modded C4!! (Mr Mojo)
I haven't sold the C4 yet... We'll see what it brings on Ebay. I'm basically just sick of fixing it and I want a car I can drive everyday. I went way too far on the mods!

After taking delivery of my C5 yesterday and experiencing the 6 hour drive home... I'll miss the brute accelleration of the C4, but that's it!
