Default C- Beam for a Dana 36 vs a 44
I am trying to put a dana 36 in my Salt flat race car, ( 1990 ZR1) and it appears the stock C- beam is about 1/2 inch short.

Anyone have any ideas, If I get a c- beam for a dana 36 car will I hook up to my ZF tranny?

Yes, a 6 speed c beam is shorter than a auto (dana36) c bean.

You need to get a auto (dana36) c beam.

Plenty of people out there doing D44 installs that would swap you a D36 beam.

The snout on the D44 (manual shift cars) is longer than on the D36. The span between the trans bolts to the diff bolts are 13/16" further apart on the D36 "C" beam. I have a D36 "C" beam I would be happy to swap with you.
