Default what's the best underdrive pulley set for c4 corvette and is it worth the money

Hi thinking about an underdrive pulley setup . who makes the best setup for a 93 corvette. I'd prefer one that has a alt. pulley that increases alt. speed so there are not any charging problems. Do these setups give a large enough increase in power to make it worthwhile, as they cost 400-500 bucks? Thanks

I run the March 3 pulley set on my 85 with good results and have been pleased. Check out the March web site...they sell direct.

I don't think you can get a three piece set for a 93.ASP makes a two piece for a 93 and it cost around $160.Crank and alt.Plus you need to get a shorter belt. They claim a .1 too .2 tenth in the quarter mile.

I put the 2 pulley under drive on my 88. I am still having problems with alignment of pulleys and voltage fluctuations. I bought it from mid america, followed instructions they sent me supposably all the correct size new pulleys and belts. After all the great suggestions for solutions from this group, i'm not a mechanic and it was hard for me to do myself (the fix) I am now in ATI automotive school, but never the less, I have a feeling that in order to get it right i will need proffesional help and alot of money. Just my experience. good luck. and thanks again to this group for all the awesome info and help.

I bought a used March lt1 underdrive pulley on ebay, turned out to only fit caprice and maybe f body. Found out they don't make one for 93 corvette lt1. That asp underdrive has a good price, a lot cheaper than others. I'm going to call them for more info. I like that they offer both 23% and 34% crank underdrive with 15% alt. underdrive for either.Has anyone tried their setup?

It is cheap HP for $160 for 20HP, 8 dollars per HP. And .2 seconds off your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

I wonder if it helps more on the lauch or the top end?

I doubt that you will gain 20 HP, but you will gain some.

these work by making the accessories turn slower except the alternator keeps its same speed. they are lighter too

Every tenth is 10 hp so .2 = 20 hp. Just some simple math.

After checking with ASP- they only make a underdrive setup for lt1's made in the last part of 1993. the belt has to be smooth on outside not grooved on both sides and it turns out they don't even have that one right now but are back ordered. I left my phone number with them for if they make more but it doesn't look good. March and ASP are out who else would you go to?
