Thanks for the great write up and EXCELLENT pictures!!! My 94 has 80k and has 'mis/stumble when hot' issue - but like others I'm replacing all the smaller/cheaper things first before I replace the opti-spark.
Any opinions about using aftermarkets, ie: MSD Opti replacements? I have been told to use Delco ONLY - right?

I just installed an opti from the optidoctor (Brad) and the quality was extremely high. Check his other options on ebay. If you have an original with the Mits. sensor and you have time I would send yours to him and he will rebuild it and test it. You will get a video of the test with your name on the opti. Can't recommend any higher. Dan

Thank you very much for photos. This must have taken a lot of time but is really of help to someone who is working on their opti LT1 for the first time.

Default Thoughts on OptiJunk and Electric Water Pump

I had issues with 2 Optisparks and went to the Delteq conversion. The genius engineer who put a water pump over the ignition system should have been fired. I also had to change to Electric water pump as my car kept stripping the splines on the coupler. Hope you take a look at Delteq.
