Default Anyone replaced the giant LTx alternator with a comparable smaller unit?

Has anyone had any luck replacing their LT1/4 alternator with a smaller comparable unit for rocker cover access or taller covers? Have one made or make one?

Thank you

Well I doubt my car would need the 105 amp model anymore. So this is an interesting idea to me. I'd only do it for less weight though. If you'd like to move the alternator you can. Make a small adapter bracket for it and then use a longer belt. It's just a simple chunk of metal with bolt holes.
