Default L98 valve cover baffles

Getting ready to powdercoat my stock L98 valve covers and I need to know how to remove the baffles. They look like they should pop out but I don't want to break anything!

on my 87 valve covers, there are metal baffles on the inside of the valve cover where the PVC grommet is. the grommet for the PVC is a harder plastic that doesn't want to come out.

I had my covers powdercoated, you dont need to remove anything on the inside, the powdercoating doesnt touch it, my grommet was hard to get off too, just spray lubed it and worked around it with a large bladed screwdriver and eventually with some patience it popped out.

So what color are you doing them in?

I didn't remove anything, not even the plastic PVC bushings. They are in there pretty tight but have no problem being in the oven at 400 degrees plus, so mine are now red.
