Default 700R4 and 4L60E

Is the tailshaft housing length and bolt pattern to the main case, the same on a 700R4 and a 4L60E? I'm trying to find data so that I can decide if I want to swap out my L98/700R4 with an LS1/4L60E, and still retain the "C" beam mounts.

PATC do a adapter to fit C4 housing on LSX trans with 6 bolt tailshaft housing
This adapter makes it possible to install a C4 Corvette tail housing with C-beam mount on a late model 4L60E transmission. This adapter is 1 9/16 inches long. Cost $214.00

Joe, I did not go into explicit detail, but if I do the LS1/4L60E swap, I will also be installing the harness and PCM from the LS1 as well.
