Headliner is the fabric piece on the underside (inside) of the top frame - no, you don't have to replace it if your doing the outside top. Just been through that exercise.

I was lucky - a distributor down here has the original Ruby Red top and carpet material. Did both at the same time for a hell of a lot less than importing from the US. They have lots available - I might just corner the market as it's no longer available in the US.
