Got the old exhaust off, Flowmaster and rear y are still on.
Next step is to put the Headman Elites on and make another video.

Why don't you run tru dual 2 1/2 with the x-pipe. You can still use the rear section of the y-pipe just have the muffler shop cut the collector section, but you well have to buy different cats..

I may do that in the future. I want all stainless and bolt on for now. I think this will flow plenty for my application. We will see after the dyno.

BTW I have a hard time trusting others to work on my car

I have the headers on now.
I have put on a lot of headers in my time and never had any that bolted up and fit perfect until today.
I took the plugs, wires, and starter off. I took the S-belt off and the 4 long screws that hold the A/C compressor in place and moved it. The drivers side slid in from the top easily. The passengers went in from the bottom just as easy.

Thanks,
I guess I don't have to tell you I'm more exited about the outcome than you are.

You SO excited, you're exiting from this thread? That's excited!

Guess I won't get an answer when I ask what you're doing between the headers and the main cat? Huh?

AGENT 86 used the stock Y-pipe, I plan to do the same. I will mock it up and have it welded together.

How much have you really gained by putting on the headers but using the basic stock setup? True question, not trying to be a SA.

When I do long tubes, (after waxing off and on for awhile) it will most likely be the Hed elites.....what did you give for them, and from where if you don't mind me askin'? And this is the first time I have actually heard that they fit good (yay!).

That sounds good as hell man....gotta hear this next setup. I've always loved some Flowmasters. I had them on my T/A back before my import days.

Why don't you thermal rap the y-pipe to keep the transmission cooler being that the
texas heat is coming . I'm getting ready to do that myself..

I have the same ones going on 2 years and still has the same finish. No problems with install. I did go through the supplied gaskets right away. Install some stage 8's and you're good to go.
