Default vacuum test

Hi,
Using a meter where is the best place to gauge the vaccum pressure and what is normal for an LT1?

I replaced the brake booster and got her all back together. Now the engine won't idle down. It idles at about 1500. I let it run for a while but the idle never came down. Can't remeber if this happend the last time I parked her; its been about 4 weeks.

Double checked all the hoses and connections that were reconnected after the booster install. All seemed fine.

Brake still are shot. I bled all 5 points as defined in the SM with a manual bleeder. I am ordering a reman MC.

I am wondering if the high idle could be caused by a vacuum leak. This would affect the braking also.

Any other idea why she would idle so high?
Also, where is a good place to order an MC.

Thanks!!
