1994 Corvette - Metal Brake Booster ???
A couple of questions regarding C4 Brake Boosters
1) Can you use the metal brake boosters that are available for the earlier C4's (84 -91) on the later model 1994 C4 vettes?
Has anyone done this conversion or interchange?
I've already done this brake booster job a few years back and now have to do the job again as my brakes are hard as hell again.
I've read many posts saying the metal ones are much less prone to failure. They look the same and are much cheaper.
2) Is there a way to test brake booster failure to make sure it's the booster and not anything else causing the hard brake?

Yes, hook up your mityvac and pump away. If it holds 15 lbs of vacuum, it's ok. If it holds none, you need a new one. (Hint, you'll have to do a lot of pumping, a booster has a good amount of volume).

The brake booster on my 89 seems to be leaking (the membrame) so I am in need for another booster. I can buy a brake booster from 91-96 (according to the ad) but I don't know if it will fit my 89.
Is this possible?
