What is the difference between the G44 - 3.07 Performance Axle, and the G92 - 3.07 Performance Axle?

G44 = 3.07 Rear Axle Ratio

G92 triggers whatever the performance gears and RPO for that year to be added.

Guess I was hoping that I had a Dana 44 in it. But since it's an Auto, I guess not huh?

Nope, sorry.

1984 = Dana 36
1985 - 1996 Auto = Dana 36
1985 - 1996 Stick = Dana 44

No exceptions from the factory. :(

Thanks, I figured as much. Guess I'll have to watch those smokey starts.

The smokey starts aren't what'll get you. If the tires are spinning then there isn't any added stress going to the Dana 36 at that time. It is when you start putting drag radials on and launching HARD that she'll bite ya. :)
