Id say his car is well sorted out and if Im not mistaken sees street duty too. It takes a lot to pull the wheels like he does give the guy some credit. Gutting a car and weight removal will not pull them up sorry.

By the way what are you running tell us all about it.

This same question was asked at another Corvette Forum by the same person, under the same name. Started the same day.

Why is the OP asking the same questions from forum to forum?

Why not?
Is there a rule against it

We have one member here who cuts and pastes the same question across 4 different C4 forums ,
then argues what he is told on one forum against another

Hey look at me, " i have a Ford 9 inch with no interior"

you can store your y-pipe in the back (where the carpet) used to be.

if i pull out my interior--my car will do a wheelie 2.

anybody can do a wheelie with a ford 9 inch and the interior gutted.

can you say " bent, worthless, totaled racecar--with a motor that needs to be freshed up, alittle"

just like a red neck " wanna race"

its going to take a whole lot more than THAT car to impress me

junk

wanna race

i love those big 15 inch tires with the ford bolt pattern
I could care less about trying to impress you. You are a bug. Your ignorance is what impresses me. Google Ford 9 inch, Chevy 12 bolt. Full anterior, carpet, electric windows, electric seats. I'd ask you to race again, but I have a feeling you don't have a driver's license.

If its any consolation 383 Vette, I think you did a nice job on the car. I just sold my 82 Z28, 468 BBC, 350 turbo, 4500 stall, 4.56s with a Moser/Ford rear. 10:80 in the 1/4. I know what kinda work goes into building a nice car and can see the fruits of your efforts.

383 nice ride. I am impressed with the way it launches, amazing! You obviously have your stuff together. I was thinking, we should make a new rule for the board; It should be mandatory that all posters are a minimum of 12 years old, and act like it. This should allow yourself and the other adults to carry on a conversation with out a bug pestilence.

Don't make the assumption that the actions of a few represent the whole. That would make you the more ignorant one.

Any help would be appreciated.

In case you want to know, Im not ready to toss the tpi just yet, just weighing out the costs of fixing, tuning the tpi, vs the carb swap, in which I likely have everything to do in the shop here.
Does any one rember this post? Its kinda what this thread is all about aint it!? If anybody wants to start a thread about carb conversions pro and con then go start one. Operative word is GO! Quit hijacking other treads! The guy asked a question, If you dont want to help him out then have the respect and maturity to move along and mind your own business. I really want to learn about these cars and make a few friends here. I dont want to cause any animosity here, but come on! Be reasonable.

Hi guys Have you seen the electric choke replacements for Holley carbs that gives you Throttle position sensor info to your tranny so you can use newer 4L60e electronic transmissions with a carb. It's apx. 100.00 from summit, much cheaper than those stand alone shift computers are. anyone used one ?

Last moth I did this swap. It was 1990 L98. here is my parts list (summit part#s):
intake: EDL-2101
distributor: MSD-8360
Carb: HLY-0-81670
Coil: MSD-8207
Fuel pressure reg: QFT-30-900
I reused the OEM fuel pump, that's why I used a fuel pressure regulator with return line. My digital display is still working, telling me fuel level.
Remember to buy all gaskets you will need.
Also you will need a fan control to operate the radiator fan (or turn it on direct from switch).
If you will remove all wire harness, please take this advice first: find a signal for ignition coil; be sure not to cut any starter motor signal, find a signal for fuel pump. If you follow this advice you will have: gas, spark and cranking.
find some gauges for oil pressure, water temp, rpm.
been there done that, my Vette is running and pulling strong.
hope this help
PD: I have a TPIS BIG MOUTH, ECM, THROTTLE BODY, SUPER RAM, FUEL RAILS....FOR SALE
