Hey Guys, Rick will post the numbers soon. Here's a clue, the small AFR 195 Comp ports run out of steam at 6000rpm, but they also make alot of torque... even with a miniram on it.

"the small AFR 195 Comp ports run out of steam at 6000rpm"

Thats what I want to know. I have the same exact heads and I am interested in the limit of what they can do. I figure Ricks motor will push them to the limit.

I think Rick is cammed just about right for the combo.....moderate RPM/ high TQ cars are a lot of fun on the street

195's are great for a usable RPM band,,

unless you are 100% drag car spending all of your time from 4000-7000 rpm, the 195's make the most of the cubes.

My, Miniram and HSR both made identical HP at 6000rpm as it did at 6500 rpm. BUT, the HSR made more TQ

I max at 4800-5000, but I'm undercammed. Based on your experience Larry, would you have recommended something in the 228-230 range & a 114 CL for my car? (not that I'd screw with it anymore).

Me personally, yes I would go even 232 or 233, because the TQ is already there, short duration magnifies this point and gives outstanding TQ, tune-ability and drive-ability, but more duration ups your RPM range, and the guys at Bullet say to go a minimum of 6 degrees for any cam change if you are looking for improvements.

the question to me always is, where is the border line so I can go up to it without going over it,, my cam is actually perfect but the tuning becomes more difficult due to the valve overlap, that's why I dumped a wad on the FAST 2.0

I have read where some XFI's (pricey) now can allow you to idle in Alpha N and run in MAF or Speed Density, thus taking the sensors out of play at idle, but letting them do their job off idle.

Yeah, the big problem for me is passing the sniffer.........it would have to go out to a 114 CL. I don't want to steal Rick's thunder here, but since he's gonna do a new thread I wanted to get your input because of all the changes you've made on your car.

It never ends does it..............

Just spoke with Rick. Good numbers. I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you all.

Rick, any updates on the car? Since I sold my C4, I have to live vicariously through yours now.

I parted it out man. Was just trying to find the video for a friend of the 421 at idle.

Bought a C6 after that, and I have since sold that as well. Looking to find something else now, but with back seats for the kids.

What's new with you??

Exact same story. I went to a C6, sold it. I've been running another BMW now since March or so.

Maybe a G8 GXP is in your future? Or an '09+ CTS-V. I hear they're fun, and they're becoming competitively priced.

Its not a vette but it has the heart of one, and I have a feeling it will be faster then most. Its not as fast as the 421 but quicker then the C6.
