Default L98 Piston Rings

Rebuilding an L98 out of a 1990 Corvette for my 89 Formula and ran into trouble on the piston rings. I was given a set of Clevite 50564cp but when I started trying to install the oil rings the waffle ring would not fit. I looked up rockauto.com and they show two sets of rings, one with a .165 shallow oil ring and another with a .200 ring. Did the people at the local engine building shop sell me the wrong ring set?
Thanks

I too have an 89 Fomula. If I were to do it, I'd get a ZZ crate motor, and slap the TPI on top.

I just got back from the only local auto parts store that has piston rings in stock AND is open on Sunday. We went through 5 different sets and the only one that fit into the groove was the $170 moly set. Would have wrecked the budget I am working with so I will wait until the local engine builders store is open tomorrow.
