Opinions on " Settling " needed???
We finally cranked the car up and drove it some, last week. Sent it off for paint.
The concern is the amount of blow by. There is lots, I mean Lots. This did make it REAL easy to find a weak valve cover gasket when oil puked out!!
No PVC system, just two breathers. And, it didn't do this on the dyno stand during break in?
My partner [ engine owner ] disagrees with my concern that the engine is cocked low to the drivers side, almost 3/4" !! Randall thinks it needs to " settle ".
Drives me nuts and it's a short trip for me? Everything else is dead level.
I believe with the motor cocked over, the Moroso 7qt will let oil up past the baffles and the crank is spanking it = Lots of oil vapor.
Again, it's his motor, but what do the experts think?
I think new motor mounts and a level motor makes the problem go away. Something along the lines of Energy insert type is in our immediate future [ or a new motor very soon].

The engine got tore up & fried on the engine dyno is my guess.
Engine seen massive amounts of detonation for some reason.
You maybe knocked all the molybdenum from the Top piston ring.
Cylinder walls & piston skirts likely tore up too.
Fried.
The engine has no ring seal left & is pumping oil into the combustion chamber.
Motor mount issues ?
Have to figure that out on your own.
You don't have a good running race motor no longer.
Its now a ticking time bomb waiting to grenade apart and oil the racetrack down & **** the track officials off.

1. make sure the dip stick is the right one for the pan. you might have too much oil in it.
2. perform a compression check. the low cylinders are the target.
3. make sure the breathers actually breathe. I have seen some that look good, but the actual vent path is rather small.
4. be certain that the oil isn't 5W20 break in oil
5. I would use 10-30 or 10 -40 depending on what you are using for oil and clearances

Thanks guys
Other concerns are the HI FLOW pump with Hyd lifters.
Dawned on me as I was puzzling replaced with the cam change but still the same pump?

HV pump with hyd lifters wont hurt anything.
Get it warm and do a compression/leakdown test before panicking.
Dont see how it could be flawless on a dyno then smoke like a chimney??
Check the simple things first.

As mentioned by Coupeguy, double check the oil level. If it is ok, sounds like your engine is shot. So are your motor mounts.

is it possible you have the thru bolt sitting on top of the motor mount instead of thru it, that would give you bout 3/4" difference, still wouldnt cause those oil issues though
