1989 Corvette floods after turning off car
Heres my question 1989 Corvette when the engines cold car starts right up on first crank. When I turn the car off I can smell the raw gas.. If I try to start the car right after I shut it off or several minutes from the time it was shut off it still starts right up.. But after about 10 minutes the fuel fills into the cylinder and floods the car out... I will hold the gas pedal to the floor then it will start, burns out excess gas and runs, idles fine... What would cause the fuel to leak in and flood car out... Do the fuel injectors really go bad and leak?
I have a trans question also.(its an automatic).. When i go from park to drive it hits pretty hard and the same from shifting from 1st to 2nd gear its a pretty hard shift.. remaining shifts are pretty smooth.
Thanks in advance for any help

I did change plugs, they all looked pretty good.. I pulled the vacuum line off the FPR and sure enough gas was coming out of it... So from what I've read the FPR is bad? Is there any easy wat to replace the FPR / diaphram. I have a hayes manuel and will be following those steps from there.

I got the patience when I got older!! I not sure if it has an OEM FPR on there or AFPR. The one on there looks little different from some of the factory pics Ive seen.. Question is are the diaphrams inside all the same? Auto part store sells just the diaphram, but if its not the OEM FPR will and OEM diaphram fit? The FPR on the car now has an adjustabl screw at the top.
