Careful on switching over. You may want to get a full flush done first. I'm not sure if the rads are different or not either from when the general started using the orange coolant. I use 50/50 in my car and one bottle of water wetter.

hmm i didnt know it would matter if i switched over....i bought the kit from oreillys that pumps the water hose through your whole system until it comes out clean and thought this was a full flush....should i go back and exchange the coolant and buy the old kind instead???

Capacity is 14 quarts or 3.5 gallons. So since you have a block full of water now, add 7 quarts (1.75 gals) to make 50/50.
I keep green in the 89, I find no benefit to going orange / pink.

autozone told me that i needed to use the orange stuff since i had an aluminum water pump so i used it and now my coolant temp is skyrocketing. Did i mix the coolant wrong? Whats the proper procedure for flushing and refilling so you actually get a 50/50 mix?
