Default New fix for rear hatch defogger...

Hi, guys, I think I might have found a possible new fix for an inop rear defogger.
I bought new struts for the hatch since the old ones were out on viagra.
I donīt use the rear defogger that often, but when I want to use it I want it to work... DUH
At one time I pushed the button, light came on, but after a few minutes it was clear it didnīt work, the heated mirrors worked though.
After several times of testing (per FSM), checking the ground wich is in a nice place (right behind the "halo light" on the driver side), checking all the connectors, everything, I came to what I think was the problem.
Having the hatch open, and testing again with a test light between the front/lower strut connectors, I started fiddling with the rear/upper connectors.
While moving one of the connectors that are around the strut (male), I got a spark.
So not the female connector that goes on that one was the problem wich you would expect.

Solution, if you got the right ones, in my case:
Take a piece of wood that is long enough to support the hatch while open.
Pry of the wide C clip that locks the strut to the hatch.
Pull of strut and screw of the top of the strut, might want to use a wrench of some kind.
Sand of the excess of paint that might be there, screw on top again.
Now, while you put the strut back on the hatch, turn it so it will tighten the lower strut to hatch connection also.
Then continue turning until you can attach the upper connection to the hatch again.
Click back the C clip, done.
Now test if it really works.
The test light lit when I had it between the lower connectors and the upper ones, but once closed, it wouldnīt work, it does now.
