RPO codes G44 and G92 in a 96 I'm confused...

RPO codes G44 and G92 in a 96 I'm confused...
I have both G44 which is defined as 3.07 rear axle ratio and G92 which is performance ratio rear axle. Why 2 codes?? Were their 2 different ratio choices or is mine the standard.

G92 tells us that you have the performance rear, but doesn't tell those that don't know that it's a 3.07. The G44 tells us that.

Thanks, that's the ONLY option my car came with!!! NO Bose, no 6 speed, no handling package.... but at least I have a nice rear!!!

The G92 indicates that the car has the High Performance upgrade option(about $50 list). The other G code tells what ratio was installed. They vary (mine is 2:73) by year and transmission type.
