Default 93 distributor swap

is there any reason that i can not replace my 93 distributor with the improved 95-96 version which is also cheaper

The newer opti uses a longer dowel Pin off the cam to run the Opti. I did the swap and if I did it again I'd swap cams at the same time. Replacing the pin is a pain in the.....

The front cover also has to be updated. I don't remember if anything else had to be changed.

Easier to just buy a modified vented earlier opti...Petris sells one for 399.00...
