Oil Temp Gauge Install?
Has anyone installed an aftermarket oil temp gauge? Ive got an Autometer digital sport comp guage. I just read that you can install and "sandwich" plate into the oil filter housing-which the sender will thread into. Is this the best way to go about it on a C4? Are these plates available with 2 ports so I can later install an oil pressure gauge? Lastly how are the factory oil temp/pressure gauges hooked up on my '88? Btw my gauge came with the 1/8 npt sender and wire harness.

Do you want to keep factory oil temp gauge? ( doesn't seem much point if you have a aftermarket one? )
Put sender for mech gauge where the factory sender is ;
in the port above the oil filter
OP sender(s) is in block behind dist
You just install a T there for the mech OP gauge sender ( if you want to keep factory gauge )
otherwise take factory sender out and install mech sender

Does it matter that my gauge is a digital gauge?-I thought that meant I wouldnt need a mechanical sender? Is it most accuarate installing it by the oil filter?
