Default Delete EGR From Tune

Hi guys...How do i delete the EGR from my tune using Tunerpro. Im using $32 bin in my 86 Auto 165 ECM.

I want to unhook all the EGR parts from the engine except the EGR valve itself which still works...I will remove the vacuum line to the valve (the valve will remain closed)--remove the unsightly EGR Pipe that drapes across the valve cover to the manifold--remove the wiring and the EGR switch on that pipe.
I will plug the holes from the pipe in the intake with a delete plate and the manifold with a bolt and some JB Weld...i dont want to set a code after unhooking the switch from the egr pipe which is why i want the ECM not to look at the EGR System.

Appreciate any tips

Thanks

I was looking at this also, based on wht I've read, you may not need to mess with the 'puter, less you just want to.

Seeing you have the ability to custom tune, upgrade to the superior 6E tune and use a 89 MAF bin
Then is a easy as setting the EGR operating temp at a temp value the MAT it will never see

In $32 sure it has been done in the past but probably by going into the actual programming code
You could possibly set enable to 100% TPS?

Turn off the EGR code in the flags, turn the activation temp up to the max value to prevent activation. I use tunercat and it may be different then tunerpro but in tunercat you can change all of those tables.

I just got finished with the tuning to my $32 bin thanks to PCM4Less and a terrific forum member Caboboy...car is running fine...not going to mess with it by changing bins and starting over

I looked at those 2 scalars also...i will bump both numbers to 100% if you are saying that's all it will take.
My current numbers below are much lower than the ones you posted in your photos?

I do not have the EGR flag or the temperature scalar to activate in my $32 bin..thanks

Some very good reads there...appreciate the effort of posting these links for me.

I have a greater understanding of the EGR system functionality.

It seems from reading a few different posts, if i don't program out the EGR in the chip and i remove the pipe and switch...i will set a code

I ran TP $32 before I posted and what is shown is only reference to EGR I could find
As bjankuski stated Tuner Cat must be different

Pity no one advised you to go to 6E which is what most do when custom tuning 165 MAF setups
In this case you can see why

You may or you may not.
Many of us have had it gone for years without a code ( even though it should throw a code )

If you send me your tune I can turn off the EGR code and increase the activation temperature with Tunercat and then you can reburn the modified tune back to your chip. This will eliminate your EGR and still allow you to tune the rest of the parameters as you see fit.

During EGR routine active it increases timing. May lead to detonation. you need to disable EGR in .bin if the EGR hardware is removed..
