thanks in advance to all
sitting in bedd last night my vehicle alarm goes off checked out car no break in reset with remote
1 hour later it goes off again.

any idea what problem could be.

Doesn't sound like VATS. Check the "door open" switches, make sure they are working OK. Maybe check the battery too, make sure it isn't getting weak. Hopefully someone has some better ideas than I do.

Sounds like a door switch. I've had it happen to mine before with the top out, these cars flex a LOT.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system?

1992 didn't have a factory remote.

No, you don't. There were none. You have an aftermarket alarm system, which may not be playing well with the factory system. But I would check out the switches first. Don't forget the hatch switch too, if you have a coupe.

Same thing here. Turned out to be hatch switch. out of adjustment.
Car would get hot and not touch switch
