Default Transmission Cooler Question

I'm installing a trans cooler. I plan to install it in series with the radiator. My question is which cooling line from the radiator to the transmission is the return line (cooled)?

The line going to the top of the tranny is the return line.

that is correct, and at least on my 93 the return line is the one at the bottom of the radiator.

I know this is a dumb question but; the trans cooler goes in front of the condenser?? If the car is a weekend driver is trans cooler needed?

thanks for the info.......

I am installing the cooler in front of the condenser. The trans cooler may not be required for the average C4. I'm running a 396 Super Ram with close to 500 Hp and I'm getting ready to replace the transmission with one from Pro-Built along with a Vigilante converter with 2800 stall. In this case a trans cooler is highly recommended.

I had a trans cooler added. It is in front of radiator since I removed the A/C. On the track trans temp is staying cool, but when doing autox, not moving enough air to help keep cooler when sitting in line after a run. So, I think the plan is to connect back into the radiator and the trans cooler to get the best of both worlds.

Yes, the tranny cooler goes in front of the condenser. It never hurts to cool the tranny (unless you having freezing temps in the winter).
