Default air pump elimanator

Hi
The corvette guys talked me into trying to make a air pump elimanator for my 87.I need some help from you guys on sizes,thickness of Aluminum,length of the spacers and the length of the brace and height of the main body and the width of all pieces and size of pulley and size of bolts.Any help will be appreciated because Im in the dark.Im a woodturner not a machinist.

You can buy one for just over $120.

My buddy said if I made it he would powder coat free,so I can't go wrong.

I agree with ch@os....

Do those "Corvette guys" have an air pump eliminator on their cars? If so, all the sizes and measurements are right there for you.

If they don't have one, what you're asking here is a lot of info for just a forum post. I'd have no idea how to translate that kind of info in a post. All the sizes, measurements and thicknesses, (and contours), you want would best be found on a blueprint supplied by a machinist. You admit you're not a machinist and no doubt if you made one of wood, you'd understand the need for a blueprint anyway.

That $120 price for a professionally made kit is a pretty good deal compared to scratch-building, and maybe your buddy would still powdercoat it whether you made it or not. Just my 2 cents.....Good luck!
