Pulley Puller recommendation ?
I'm getting ready to purchase a pulley puller for my tool box. Amazon lists many makes and models ranging from $20 to $200. With the exception of the most expensive pullers, ALL of the listed pullers have poor to bad user evaluations.
So before I charge off and make a dumb purchase, do you guys have a recommendation for what reasonably priced puller I should consider. Any help will be appreciated

What pulley will you be removing with it?
I'll never recommend cheap tools but you probably don't need the most expensive tool out there either. I've used a $80.00 puller for the power steering pump on my '89 C4 and it worked fine, there were many other cheaper choices that I bypassed when I purchased my puller and it came with a lifetime warantee.

is there is an O'Reilly Auto Parts, or equivalent, nearby ? they loan tools; if you like it you can buy it. Personally I think my tool is a ken moore..wasn't expensive but it is definetely a dedicated tool for pulling power steering and similiar pulley by the center hub...it also reinstalls the pulley. don't try to accomplish the job with a two or three jaw puller on the outside diameter of the pulley.

I've done the job with a Harbor Freight pulley puller, and it mostly worked - I believe I needed to use a hose clamp to "help" hold things in place. If I had it to do over again - I'd spend a bit more $$$ on a better made tool.
