128 heads; porting; larger valves?????
Having the turbos rebuilt on my 87 Callaway TT, and thought I might as well port the heads. I was wondering if its worth it to go with larger LT4 2" and 1.55s valves. I was thinking, by the time I buy the valves and have the shop work done I could have bought a set of AfterMarket heads.
Thoughts?

I ported the 128 heads and there were a few things such as the exhaust valve retainers have rotators built into them so I got rid of those ended up using Hot Cam springs and retainers so the spring pocket had to be enlarged also a thick shim is requiered under the exhaust spring to get the right spring installed height. I used manley street flo valves with undercut stems and got a 5 angle intake and three angle exhaust valve job. I also had to replace the guide plates because the original ones are not heat treated and Im using guide plates hardened pushrods and non self aligning roller rockers. If John Lingenfelter used them and recommended them they are good enough for me
