Default The (seemingly) never ending A4 -> ZF6 Swap - Wire Question

Hello all,
I have almost completed an A4 -> ZF6 swap on my 1990 corvette and have run into an issue. I had a mechanic take care of the actual transmission swap since he had a lift available while I took care of the clutch and the like. The issue I have is he didn't pay attention to the instructions I gave him from the website and he didn't complete the electrical portion of the swap. I have two connectors and two sensors to hook up and am not sure if they're correctly matched (one doesn't reach or fit one of the sensors). The transmission came out of a 1996 Corvette. If possible, could someone help me identify these connections and let me know where they need to go? Also, I still have no destination for the reverse wire I ran from the cabin.

Wire 1: This is a 2-pole connection that comes from my car and appears to fit a connection above the slave cylinder. The wire is taped to the second wire which is shorter (and doesn't seem to fit anywhere). The wires reach with plenty of room, its just I'm having one hell of a time trying to get it connected and think I might need to remove the slave cylinder to do so.

Wire 2: This is a 4-pole connection that is taped to the above connector. The wire is shorter and doesn't seem to reach or fit any of the connections I have available. Both this wire and the previous one are located on the driver's side towards the front of the cabin.

Connector 1: This connector is a 2-pole connector that might fit wire 1, however I am having one hell of a time trying to connect it and don't think I will be able to do so without removing the slave cylinder again. The connector is just above the clutch slave cylinder.

Connector 2: This connector is on the back of the transmission on the driver's side. I can't find anything to fit it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out!

Connector 1 - Reverse lamp switch (I've heard it said that it's easier to connect with slave loosened) Don't know! This is where your addition wire needs to be connected for reverse lamps. You'll need the connector for this.

Connector 2 - VSS (This is where your "Wire 1" needs to go but will require a different connector. Best of my recollection VSS is purple/yellow. An A4 uses a different VSS and the connector is substantially different for the M6. The FSM should indicate wire colors.

The only other "Component" on the transmission drivers side is CAGS that is mid-way.

Wire 2 - The TCC connector for the A4?

I'll try to toss the connectors you'll need up a bit later in the day!

WVZR-1 you are awesome! I guess those instructions for the A4 -> M6 swap are a bit skewed, it told me to run the reverse wire from the cabin out through the hole where the cable connected to the A4 shift assembly. If I have the sensor available on the transmission its a whole lot easier to just connect it there.

Those connector pictures look significantly different than the ones on the factory harness. Looks like I'll be doing some cutting and splicing! Speaking of, that 4 pole connector has 3 wires going into it, whereas the PT120 is 2-pole. What happens to the other wire? I should have bought a Hayes manual :\

Wire 2 - TCC on the A4 is not going to be used anywhere in your connections to the M6. What needs to happen to it? I don't know.

The PT120 needs the purple/yellow for the M6 VSS that you call Wire 1!!

You need a FSM "NOT" a Haynes (Hayes from your text)!

Your instructions were from "WHERE" originally?

I addressed only the 2 components that are on your M6 transmission that you asked about. The black that is top left is reverse lamp switch and the rear most on the transmission with the white connector is the VSS. The purple/yellow VSS is pretty straight forward. The wire you've added I know "NOTHING" about, I assumed when you mentioned "added" you had an idea what needed to happen to it.
