180cc pro Dart 1 any good
whats up i am considering making a 383 stroker i plan on making around 400hp with a cfi but i was wondering would they be good for this setup?? and if you guys have any other good heads would be much appreciated
im looking for low and mid end power (mostly mid end) or even would the 200cc be better

What's your budget?
Seems like if you want "low end", and your'e limiting yourself with the stock CFI intake (hopefully WELL ported, but you didn't share many details), then a set of stock Vortec heads would produce great results for a low budget...
Either way, if you want low/mid power on a 383, I'd stick to 180cc. AFR, TFS, Dart, Brodix, all good heads, and more out there. All far more capable than the stock CFI intake. Your intake is your limiting factor.

The Renegade should allow you to exploit all the potential of a good set of heads, then. Good choice there, I feel. Any of the brands listed above in a 180cc range should be a killer set up that should get you right into the 12's.
It may take a LONG time to acquire a Renegade. Depending on the timeframe of your project, you may want to start by porting the ba-jeezus out of your stock intake. Doing that got me low 13's on a junkyard 400 so it helps a lot.

To answer your question on the Dart Pro 1 180 heads, yes they are good heads putting out good numbers. I have a set on my 383 and with a mild cam, (218/226/112) , 1.6 roller rockers, Hooker headers and ported and portmatched aftermarket TPI intake, Im close to 400 hp at the crank..Like mentioned above, any of the aftermarket 180 heads would be a big improvement...WW

I can't say anything about dart heads. But I just bought some afr 180s for a 86 350. I am verry pleased with the gains also did a cam. No dyno numbers to report. But it feels like a whole different car. Talk to Jim Barth tpi421vette great guy.

Let me be first to mention that this may be a good choice for ECU dynamicefi.com
Seems like you are going to invest a far amount of money. Have you considered port fuel injection(not tpi)? May not cost you any more $$$ and will provide a better induction system.
Mine is a former CF car.
