Default Dana 36 measurements

I'm going to replace my Dana 36 with a Ford 9". I have 15x10's w/6.5" backspacing and I like the way they fit in the wheelwell.

What width of a Ford 9" would I need to keep the wheels tucked under the same?

If you're starting from scratch and you have the wheel/tire you want to use measure the wheel back-face to wheel back-face and build it to that width. You don't need/want mine, Joe's, John's, Dick's or Tom's. You want to use what you're going to run or have to run. Is there some production axle lengths that are less expensive than others? I'd think so.

I'd certainly want it done "my way" !!!!

If you like it the way it is, put it on stands (under the suspension) and measure the rotor to rotor dimension of "your" car! Again not mine or Bob's! Early or late car?
