Default 1992 Instrument Cluster Intermittent Failute

Having a problem with my speedometer instrument cluster - When I hit bumpy road the cluster will go blank. Sometimes it stays out and sometimes it comes back on. When I stop the car and leave it set for a while the cluster will work next time the engine is started. Fuse panel fuses seem fine and tight. Is there a seperate fuse for the instrument cluster somewhere else? Where are the connectors so I can see if they are loose?

you have a bad connection in the dash somewhere... take the dash apart and check...

I know... it sounds easier said than done, but cheaper than the alternatives...
