Default 95 LT1 drivers side headlight motor DEAD - no power - Where is fuse?

Its not getting power , its not spinning like bad bearings. I need to check fuse, anyone know if the drivers and passenger headlight motors have separate fuses and where they are located?

Motor is protected by a circuit breaker in the light switch.... no fuse.

I'll check the factory manual to see what can be done when the breaker doesn't respond.

Either you've been given some bad advice, or the owner's manual is wrong. Fuse 3 in the underhood fuse box is for the LH headlight motor and fuse 4 for the RH. Switch them if you can't tell and see which motor doesn't work. They are 30 amp fuses.

Working from 1992 manuals....... must be different than 1995 (?)

So did we agree the 95 HAS fuses..#3 and #4?

What difference does it make if we agree? Open the cover on the underhood fuse box and check fuse #3. If you switch 3 and 4 and neither headlamp motor works, you have a short on the driver's side that is blowing the 30 amp fuse. If you have a meter, check voltage on both sides of fuse 3 before you change it.

So the green wire and grey wire going to the motor has 12 volts yet the motor wont move. So it appears its not a power issue.

Thinking headlamp module? How can I test? BTW thanks for the wiring diagram, do you have a trouble shooting tree to scan? Driver headlamp 1995

One thing you can try is disconnect the motor and manually open the door, then reconnect the motor. It should close, with ignition and headlight switch off. If it does the motor would appear good.

If it works you need to check the wires at the module for 12v with the headlight switch on. Also 12v on each of the two red wires feeding the module..

I dont have a two wire connector, the two wires from the headlight motor goes into a 5 wire connector that controls headlamp hi and low beam (they work). I tried disconnecting the 5 wire connector, running a ground wire to the black wire then putting 12 volts on both of the two wires that run to the headlamp motor...nothing. I dont understand that with headlamp switch on, both wires to headlamp motor show 12 volts all the time, what controls on / off / up / down.... is it a voltage change, a interruption of one side of voltage from the module? I dont get it?

The diagram posted also shows fuses 3 and 4 for power to the actuator ***'y (and motors through it). With the light's on, if you have 12v on the two wires going to the motor, you either have a bad ground or the actuator module is bad inside and not providing the ground. The diagram doesn't show any gray wires to the motor, just lt green and dk green. The 12v is switched inside the module by solid state relays. If you're up to it, move the left side motor to the right side and see if it moves. Sounds like maybe a bad module to me. With the motor disconnected, if you connect 12v to one wire and ground to the other, it should move in one direction, switch the wires and it should move in the other, that's what the module does is switch the 12v and ground from one side to the other.

I wonder if the diagram is for the 95, BEFORE the 5 way plug the wires ARE green and light green, then turn into dark green and grey AFTER the plug. I checked the #3 and #4 fuse and both tested good (after I found them). I took the 5 way plug apart and ground manually the ground wire and put 12 volts on both dark green and grey wire...no movement, I put the same 12 volts on the headlamp wire and lights work on both high and low...so I know the ground was there. (this was all with connector unplugged)

Grounding the black wire won't do it. You have to put 12v on one side of the wire to the motor and ground on the other. Then reverse the ground and 12v on the same two wires to move the motor in the other direction.
