Default Tach Not Working

The next issue to tackle on my resto is the tach. When car starts the tach lights up but no reading at all. Can someone provide the wire diagram for this (84) and give some insight on troubleshooting. It seems the cluster, filter or wiring is all that's involved. Thanks

The wires appear to be plugged in so I am looking for troubleshooting ideas to tell if it's the dash unit or filter etc
