Default Replacement hardware.

I will be swapping out my 3.07 dana 36 for a 3.73 dana 36 and I am wondering if you can buy new hardware for the upper mounts on the batwing. (Where the batwing mounts to the chassis) Are these possible to get?

Are you talking about only the bushings or do you need also bolts and nuts? Where are you located? I have a couple D36 bat-wings with good bushings.

I just need the nuts/bolts. I have bad luck with bolts that look fine and end of snapping. Penetrating oil or not.

That's M12 X 1.75 hardware and I wouldn't think it's an issue but if you wanted you could buy M12 X 1.75 X 100 bolts and new M12 X 1.75 nuts and I would think prevailing torque would be best.

GM # 11516078 would be the correct prevailing torque nut from GM and it should be on most GM shelves. The correct bolt has been replaced by GM with a # 11516664 and it's way expensive from GM BUT it would have the correct plating properties for use in under-car components. I'd buy new nuts and I'm quite confident you should be able to save/reuse the bolts. The nuts from a local GM dealer and use on-line pricing quotes as a "buyers guide"!
