- quit smoking! seriously, I have a small bead blasting cabinet, and I've cleaned rusty, corroded, cigarette lighter receptacles several times. it is necessary to disassemble the entire assembly and remove it from the console. my cabinet has glass beads, I'm thinking I lowered the pressure to about 60#. cleaned up the parts and the rust without issues.

You buy a replacement! Your '92 blew another fuse? If it's only the heating element/**** buy a GM 11516141 for likely $10 and it should be fixed. I believe that all '92 were a Casco style and that should work with your socket. If the socket is bad you can buy that also.
