Default 1994 C4 Hood wont stay closed

Good Morning. It seems as if there is an issue every day!!

The left side of the hood will not stay closed and popped while I was driving yesterday. I drove it home immediately (so much for taking it out over LDW)

The mechanic earlier in the day made a call for replacement parts but advised they have been discontinued. Could anyone help? I will need the two latches and the cables

PRODUCT CODES:
1025-0486 CABLE
1027-3994 LATCH

Thank you !!

If you check the parts for sale section of the forum you'll "breakers" like "See4Parts" and others. Contact them I'm sure they have good used parts that you can use.

That was my first thought too.
A very simple adjustment. Just proceed slowly with adjustment till hood latches frimly but still releases.

The latches on my prior '88 were pretty well beat up but such adjustment still gave a solid latching.

I would definitely try an adjustment first. Also look carefully at the latching units and compare them with the other side for a difference in wear.

I definitely recommend Pat (See4Parts). I've bought a number of items from him and have had great results.
